WHAT IS PSORIASIS?

Psoriasis is a chronic disease, distinguished by an uncontrolled epidermal growth non malignant, also characterized by rounded, oval, symmetric or scaly plaques on the skin´s surface and joints.

Psoriasis is a very uncomfortable disease and depending on the severity of each case, it some times can be incapacitating.

The Psoriasis includes microscopic epidermal & dermal surface changes, a compatible lesion with a skin growth of about 3 or 4 times normal size, meanwhile the granule layer is absent over the dermal papilla, also there is an infiltration around the blood vessels. Some skin areas are red with scales and itching.

Other risk factors increase the development disease, when you from suffer one of the following disorders. Metabolic disorders of (Diabetes), emotional disorders, streptococcus infections (essentially in children), trauma, b type drugs, sun blocks & anti-inflammatory medications, hormonal changes, skin inflammation process, respiratory infections, traumas, sun burns & bruises.

The statistics show that Psoriasis has a high probability among the 10 to 30 year old patients. Although, Psoriasis can appear at earlier or older ages.
Psoriasis is present in all countries around the world, affecting about 3% of the world population. There is no information to confirm higher incidence in cold climates than in a hot ones.
